This is for all the heavy downloaders, the gamers, movie freaks e.t.c. We all know that when it comes to downloading UC browser is second to none, right from the days of java when we download a music of 4mb for 20min and a 70mb movie for 7hrs plus, but we won't be scared of loosing our mb and wasting our time since we are using UC browser that will always allow us resume the download when ever there is network interuption, you remember right? Then, we download in kilobytes and megabytes now we download in megabytes and gigabytes very soon it would be in gigabytes and terabytes lol..
But then there are some issues that arises that our dear UC browser can't help us with, there are times when the download won't just resume, what happens at this point is that the download link has expired, then we have no choice than to restart the whole thing. Who really have time for that. Now i'm going to show you how to resume downloads with expired link.
When you are downloading a file of lets say 1gb and then it stops downloading at 995mb, and it keeps retrying, and after retrying 10 times it shows "network error" or "expired link"
Just follow these steps to finish you download without stress
Steps
1. Locate the uc browser download folder “UCDownloads” (use a file manager like 'ES file explorer')
2. in the folder there are two files with the same name (the name of the file you are downloading) but one is with the extension ".dltemp"
3. Copy those two file and paste them in a separate folder outside the "UCdownlads" folder
4. Go back to you UC browser app and restart the download
5. Once the file starts downloading all over again, pause it
6. Then go back to the file manager, move the previouly downloaded file (the two files you copy away from the ucdownload folder in step 3) back to the "UCdownload" folder to replace the new files there.
7. Go back to you UC app and resume the download, you'll realise that the download progress will move up to the point it stopped initially.
Hope you found this simple trick helpfull.
